The use of Rebrickable
100% LEGO
Rebrickable: Is it a MOC or just a fancy set of instructions? If I whipped it up purely from my brainpower, then yes, it’s a bonafide MOC! But if I snagged those instructions from the internet or a store, then I’d have to admit it’s a NMOC—Not My Own Creation. Think of it like following a recipe: if I just added sprinkles, but someone else did the baking, I can’t take credit for the cake!
And let’s not forget—always give a shout-out to the mastermind behind the design when you register your creation. They deserve their moment in the spotlight!
This is a trial period for me; let’s see if everyone can stick to these not very tricky rules. Who knows, maybe I’ll become a Lego rule enforcer with a badge and everything! 🎉
Rebrickable
-
Can I show a Rebrickable in a diorama? “YES,” You must give credit to the designer of the build at the time of registration in the description.
-
No free standing Rebrickable.
You want to win an award using Rebrickable. It must be incorporated into a large diorama but should not be the focal point of the build; it should serve as an extra element.
Example: Pearl Harbor diorama. You built all the battleships moored at Ford Island, along with the other ships around Pearl Harbor and the Pearl Harbor base, in 1/200 scale. The Rebrickable includes the two submarines located at the subbase.
The Pearl Harbor diorama is up for an award.
